It's clunky but you can update the library from any plex client. I've been having this issue with plex. Where you add contents and it doesn't automatically update the library. You have to manually use the menulet for plex media server to update the library. I would like to know if there are any working plugins where you can update the library through a scan / turbo / deep. Set plex library location. Download and double-click the installer to install. It should show up in your Plex 'Applications Menu'. All it does is allow you to update the library, either individual sections or the whole thing.
