The fourth season of Cold Case, an Americantelevision series, began airing on September 24, 2006 and concluded on May 6, 2007. Season four regular cast members include Kathryn Morris, Danny Pino, John Finn, Thom Barry, Jeremy Ratchford and Tracie Thoms. This is the only season of the series to feature 24 episodes.

During this season before the season finale 'Stalker', Danny Pino guest starred as his character Scotty Valens in an episode of CSI:NY, also produced by Jerry Bruckheimer.

The team reopens the 2006 triple homicide of a family when the sole survivor of the shooting, the teenage daughter named Kim Jacobi (Ellen Woglom), wakes up from a coma and begins remembering details about the night of the murder. The team learns that the girl was being stalked by a man named, 'Romeo.' The investigation takes a scary turn when a hostage situation arises with the SWAT team firing one shot into the window of the homicide office wounding Romeo but not seriously, Romeo firing one shot at Lt. Stillman wounding him but also not seriously which promps Lilly to make the bold decision to confront Romeo one-on-one where Romeo shoots Lilly and he is shot dead by Detective Valens.

  • Song featured in the finale: 'Stolen', by Dashboard Confessional.
  • This case was loosely based on the murder of Alice Huling and most of her family in 1978 by Joe Ture.
  • At the end of the episode while at the hospital after being shot by Romeo, Lilly says 'Mom' just before the end credits start to roll leaving viewers to wait until the first episode of season 5 to see if she survives.
